    Vigorously growing, large tree with a straight central leader and a regular, ovoid crown, up to 20 m in height. The young leaf is bright yellow to greenish-yellow. Later in summer it turns yellow-green. Very striking, especially in spring, but in summer, too, the brightly coloured young shoots give the tree a fresh appearance. In autumn the leaf turns yellow to orange.

  • Acer rubrum Fairview Flame

    Outstanding tree for autumn colour; the five-lobed leaves turn from dark green to a blistering shade of scarlet red. The structure of this deciduous tree is also notable, as it holds a flame-like ovate shape which looks beautiful when in leaf. Further interest is added in spring, when small red flowers appear on the bare branches, and the new branches also emerge as a vivid red colour.

  • Acer saccharinum Laciniatum Wieri

    Leaves of Incised Silver maple are palmate lobed with 5 very deeply incised lobes. The leaves are 8 - 16 cm (3.2 - 6.3 in) long and 6 - 12 cm (2.4 - 4.7 in) broad. The leaf surface is light green, the underside is white. The leaf margin is serrated.
