A blue leaved fan palm from the chilly Atlas mountains of Morocco. It thrives in full sun with a free draining soil, ideal as a potted plant on a balcony or terrace, or in a sunny south facing border, keep damp during the growing season, dry in winter. Maximum height 4 metres.
Compact habit and short leaf stems, 'Compacta' is perfect for breezy conditions, such as coastal or roof/balcony gardens where ideally it should be sited in a sunny position. Eventual height should be around 2 metres by 1.3m wide.
