An open, spreading, deciduous tree with ovate to elliptic, toothed, dark green leaves turning yellow in autumn. Clusters of fragrant, pink-flushed, white flowers in mid-spring are followed by small, inedible, spherical, yellow fruit in late summer and autumn.
