A compact, clump-forming, perennial which has ovate, pointed, aromatic, dark green leaves. From July to September erect stems bearing dense, whorled clusters of small, tubular, two-lipped, purple-pink flowers are borne. Grow in moderately fertile, humus rich, moist but well drained soil in full sun or light dappled shade.
