    Common Myrtle. An evergreen shrub with glossy leaves and pretty, fragrant white flowers with conspicuous white stamens, followed by purple-black berries. Flowers from July to August. Fruits from August. Evergreen. Sheltered sunny spot, peaty acidic soil.
