Beautiful shrub with a compact, dense and conical habit, and black twigs. The evergreen leaves are small, oval, shiny in appearance and with wavy edges. The variegation is more contrasting than that of pittosporum tenuifolium Abbotsburry Gold. In April-May, small, discreet, tube-shaped, dark purple flowers give off a honey scent.
