Viking' bears scarlet flowers with a greenish tinge, a yellow base, and an occasional yellow flame. The flowers are bowl-shaped, with a double row of petals, and bloom very early in the tulip season. On sunny days, when the flowers are fully open, the blooms reach up to 4 inches across. Double earlies are sturdy and short-stemmed, generally 8/12 inches tall.
